Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was a famous physicist who is referenced multiple times in the Arthur series. He won a Nobel prize for explaining the photoelectric effect, but is best known for discovering the theory of relativity which includes the mass-energy equivalence E=mc2.
- In the majority of the series, Brain has a poster of Einstein with the theory of relativity underneath it displayed in his bedroom. Arthur hangs up a similar poster in "The Rat Who Came to Dinner" to impress Mr. Ratburn.
- In "D.W. Gets Lost", Mr. Crosswire wrongly quotes Einstein as saying "time is money."
- In "Arthur Rides the Bandwagon," Brain's Woogle is named Tiny Einey. He resembles Einstein and says "fun equals you times me squared" when squeezed.
- In "Buster's Best Behavior", Brain quotes the general theory of relativity in a report in class.
- In "It's a No-Brainer", Buster mentions Einstein getting bad grades in school. Later in that episode, Arthur pretends to be a quiz show host and offers Brain a trip to Einstein's birthplace (Ulm, Germany).
- In a fantasy in "Arthur's Perfect Christmas", Einstein is featured as a balloon in the Heroes of the 20th Century parade. A commentator says that he is "moving much slower than the speed of light."
- In "The Boy with his Head in the Clouds", Mr. Ratburn mentions Einstein as an example of a successful man with dyslexia.
- In "Waiting to Go," Einstein is seen on Brain's watch saying "Time is relative, here in Berlin it's 6:48 PM and twenty seconds." Later in that episode, Brain quotes the theory of relativity and imagines Einstein floating by saying "time is relative."
- In "D.W. Aims High," Einstein is heavily featured, appearing as a statue, and seen in fantasy/flashback sequences growing up.
- In "Brain's Shocking Secret", Brain claims that Einstein did poorly in school because he was bored. In the same episode, Brain tells Binky, that Einstein wore an identical suit every day, so he could concentrate on physics. Binky misunderstands him and wears the same suit every day.
- Albert Einstein's name is on one of the eggs in "Brain's Brain".
- In "Freaky Tuesday", science teacher Carl Rambacher has wild hair and a German accent, a likely reference to Einstein.
- Apart from references to the actual Albert Einstein, characters sarcastically call other characters "Einstein" in "Buster and the Daredevils" (Slink to Toby), "Finders Key-Pers" (Binky to Brain), "It's a No-Brainer" (Francine to Buster), "Brain Gets Hooked" (Trent to Byron) and "Slink's Special Talent" (Binky to Rattles).
