A heart-shaped beet appears in "Prunella the Packrat". Prunella gives the beet to Buster as payment for storing two wagons of her stuff at the Baxters, so that Rubella will not find out about it. Prunella says she got the beet from the Community Garden.
Buster uses the heart-shaped beet and Yamlet to reenact a scene from Shakespeare's Hamlet ("Two beets or not two beets").
After witnessing Prunella's obsessive collecting behavior, Buster turns the heart-shaped beet into borscht and Yamlet into sweet potato fries.
