Binky imagining the headless horseman, in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a famous short story by Washington Irving first published in 1820.

In "The Fright Stuff," Binky mentions this when he, Arthur, Buster, and Brain are trying to think up a prank to play on the girls at Muffy's party. Binky first mentions it misnaming it "The Legend of Creepy Hollow." In his fantasy, a headless horseman is chasing the girls, until the horseman and horse crashes, revealing Arthur and Binky inside.
